Warranty

 

  • The warranties on the Launch products are supported by the OEM , Shen Zhen Launch Ltd and cover repair of the unit in the first year only. All transport (to and from manufacturer in China),packaging,insurance, customs and any other costs will be the responsibility of the buyer.
  • The Autoboss Systems sold by OBDSA are imported directly by OBDSA in order to offer customers the lowest possible price.
  • They are legal  and in accordance with South African Law in terms of section 12 of the Consumer Affairs (Unfair Business Practices) Act, No 71 of 1988. The final regulations have been published in Government Gazette No. 29600 and these regulations become effective on Friday, 9 February 2007.
  • The following statement with regard to the Autoboss or any other system sold by OBDSA is made to comply with the South African Law.

    "The authorised South African distributor of this product is under no obligation to honour the manufacturers' guarantees/warranties or to provide after-sales service for self imported branded products."

  • Items sold on this website are distributed in the hope that they will be useful, but WITHOUT ANY WARRANTY; without even the implied warranty of MERCHANTABILITY or FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
  • All items are to be considered sold "as is" and for experimental purposes only, to be used by customers for purposes as the customer sees fit.
  • Items that carry a warranty will be honoured by the manufacturer, ie the items will be returned to the manufacturer for repair/or replacement, at the manufacturers discretion ,  OBDSA's sole responsibility will be to return the item to the supplier at the customers cost.
  • Warrantied items will be noted as such on the Tax Invoice , and will be valid for the period stated on the invoice.

Software and Operating Systems

  • OBDSA supplies the necessary software with all items sold, and provides full installation instructions and support on supported Operating Systems
  • OBDSA is a hardware vendor, we do not sell or design software. All software is provided by third party suppliers.
  • OBDSA cannot provide support for demo or other software that we sometimes supply free of charge, in these cases, the relevent software supplier should be contacted for support. We will however do our best to help as much as we can.
  • Most software for use with items sold on this site are designed for use with Windows XP Professional ; so this is the operating system we recommend , and all support assumes you are using this operating system.
  • Certain software may support other OS's like Windows NT or Vista , however OBDSA cannot offer any advice on these systems.

Refund / Exchange Policy

  • We will offer a full refund of the purchase price including delivery, for DIY or private customers, only if an item we advise you to buy is not compatible with your car. We must be informed of the intention to return the item within 24 hours of you receiving it and  item must be returned in original condition and packaging  within 7 days of receipt. The customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.
  • Exchange policy does not apply to workshops/commercial customers.
  • No refund or exchange is offered if you purchase an incorrect item without discussing the purchase with us beforehand.
  • We will exchange items that do not work, if we are informed of the intention to return the item within 24 hours of you receiving it and  item is returned in original condition and packaging  within 7 days of receipt. The customer is responsible for the cost of returning the item to us. We will cover the cost of posting the replacement item.

 

Privacy Policy

  • OBDSA respects the privacy of it's customers.
  • All information collected will be kept strictly confidential , and will not be sold, or given to any third party or used for any other purpose
  • The information my be used in future by OBDSA, or DLF Design CC to provide you with more information about our company or products. In this case you will be provided with the option of unsubscribing from receiving this information.

Copyright and all intellectual property rights in all materials, texts, drawings and data made available on this website (collectively “the materials”) are owned by DLF Design CC or DLF Design CC is the lawful user thereof and are protected by both South African and international intellectual property laws.   • Neither OBDSA or its directors shall be responsible for and disclaims all liability for any loss, liability, damage (whether direct, indirect or consequential) and/or expense of any nature whatsoever which may be suffered by you or any third party, as a result of or which may be attributable, directly or indirectly, to your access and use of the website and/or any information contained on or via the website and/or your use of the products. Without limiting the generality of the aforegoing, neither OBDSA nor its directors shall be liable for any failure and/or unavailability of the website for any reason whatever and/or the failure/delay by any third party service provider to render any service which are necessary to ensure the availability of the website.   • All items are used entirely at the customers own risk,  OBDSA accepts no responsibility for the way the customer uses these items,or for any damages arising from or as a result of using these items.
  • By accessing the website, you warrant and represent to OBDSA that you are legally entitled to do so to purchase any of the products offered for sale via the website. You further warrant that all the details you have given are true and complete and that you are legally capable of concluding this transaction. If you are younger than 21 years of age you warrant that you have the consent of your legal guardian to enter into this agreement with OBDSA or that you have obtained legal status in another manner.
